A Happy Mum was started three months ago after discovering that firstly, I am a hopeless romantic and need a platform to release my idealistic and sometimes overly sentimental thoughts, secondly, I had come up with a rather absurd initiative to make crafts and give them away, thirdly, I wanted to be a SAHM and while I embraced every moment of it, I didn't want to feel like a bum.
To tell you the truth, I didn't know and I still don't really know where this blog will lead me.
However, it has given me a sense of purpose in my life and many bubbles of happiness. So whatever the future may be, I'm sticking to it for the time being and immersing in the pleasure of being a self-proclaimed crafter, blogger and not-too-bad-a-mum.
This morning when I woke up and realised that I received an award for my blog, you could imagine my elation and surprise. What?? You mean someone out there actually likes reading my blog enough to nominate it for an award? You've gotta be kidding me.
A big thank you to Ming from My Baby Footsteps, I'm so glad to have met you in this blogging journey and hope we'll continue to share our motherhood experiences and craft tips with each other!
As part of this blogger to blogger award, here are seven things you might or might not know about me.
1) I can't stand durians.
Don't ask me why, it makes me wanna run and lock myself up in the toilet when my family is having a durian feast. And no dear, you can't kiss me with all that stench.
2) I prefer tea to coffee.
Something that baffles the Swedish because they simply love coffee here. Some even say you shouldn't wash your coffee cup so as to preserve its flavour. Ok, shall we just use disposable cups?
3) I'm quite good at darts.
I used to be the darts captain in NTU Hall 6 and whenever we had the inter-hall competition, I would kick ass and could even pull off a bull's eye checkout. Not anymore, though.
4) I believe in fate.
Much as sometimes I wish things would be different, ultimately I believe that things in life happen for a reason. In any case, whatever that doesn't kill you only serves to make you a stronger person.
5) I suck at make-up.
I probably look the same at every wedding dinner I've attended. Yes, I definitely need to go for some make up lessons or pick up some styling tips from YouTube. But then again, as a mum and a very contented one, I think I should radiate beauty from the inside out. Fine, just another excuse to procrastinate.
6) My favourite colour is green.
Maybe it's because of my green PE T-shirt in Anglican High School or the dirty green uniform in Temasek Junior College, I've developed quite a liking for this colour. It somehow just makes me feel peaceful and at ease.
7) One is not enough.
Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to having a second baby once I'm over with this last molar pregnancy. This time round, I'm just gonna leave things more to nature and just hope that Angel gets a healthy baby sister/brother to play with!
As for blogs that I've recently discovered, since I rekindled my passion for art and craft and have a little dream of spreading my love for it, here is a list of fun and cool craft related blogs by some amazing mums.

Blogging rocks! And so does motherhood (well, at least 80% of the time)!
