Spread L-o-v-e #7 - Booties for a baby girl

Time flies and it's been nearly half a year since my last Spread L-o-v-e project.

While I like to quote being heavily preggie, migrating back home, giving birth and looking after a newborn as reasons for why I procrastinated, they turned out to be excuses. So yes, my apologies for the lapse. Frankly speaking, I really didn't know what else I could make which could pass off as gifts that people would actually want and gifts that were capable of bringing on a smile.

Nonetheless, I recently attempted to crochet a pair of ballerina booties for Ariel which I have showcased in my Creativity 521 projects.  You could say that I was so hooked onto it that I decided to make a second pair of booties for her. A pair of sweet pink booties with a strap in the middle and cute flower buttons at the front.

These are easier to slip on and off than the ballerina booties because you don't need to tie any ribbon around the ankles. If the booties are still a little oversized for the baby, you can always match them with a pair of socks to prevent slipping.

Well, this being my birthday month, it is the perfect time to spread some love once again. So yes, if anyone is keen, I am giving away a pair of crocheted baby booties! The design is similar to Ariel's above but comes in red colour, accessorized with white flowers and bear buttons.

Yes, call me biased but it's a gift for a baby girl. If you have a baby girl coming soon, have friends who are preggie, or if you simply like these and would want to keep them for a future baby, you are most welcome to take part!
