Happiness is... reminiscing 2013

If the first three years of motherhood were good, the fourth year was even better.

Most of it came from being promoted from a mum of one to a mum of two. Sure, that meant I had to divide two arms, two legs, one mind and a limited 24 hours per day among two kids. Luckily, though time had to be shared, love more than doubled. And ultimately, so did joy.

Despite all the times that I had to be a lecturer, a doctor, a chef, a referee or even a clown, I am just thankful that motherhood is the one occupation that allows me to be a jack of all trades and even if I am a master of none, it is not too much to say that being a stay-at-home mum and looking after my own kids, I did an okay job.

Today is the last day of 2013 and I can't think of a better way to end off "Happiness is..." for this year than to share with you all the precious moments that made it such an awesome and memorable one.

 1) For having the chance to be a mum to a precious newborn once again. That, is magical.

 2) For giving him a chance to be a second time dad.

 3) For having another girl because that means I can dress her up and make use of the hand me downs.

 4) For turning the big 30 and knowing that I am loved by my family.

 5) For seeing the wonders of sisterly love and how those moments can totally melt your heart.

 6) For being there to witness every of my baby's milestones and be her best cheerleader.

 7) For witnessing every of my preschooler's milestones too. Like finally hitting the shuttlecock with the racket, riding on her balance bike and writing her chinese name.

 8) For being so lucky to go on overseas vacations as a family of four. Bali, Gold Coast, Royal Caribbean cruise.

9) For knowing that my first child is a big girl now and when she told me she wanted to marry me, Papa and Meimei, that was just the most awesome feeling.

 10) For having a most fabulous National Day celebration with friends and family at Seaview resort.

 11) For still being able to craft with the big girl while looking after the small one. I hope we'll never stop!

 12) For knowing that I have someone who loves me for who I am and who has never hoped for me to become who I am not.

13) For taking the blog to greater heights and how I am thankful for all the wonderful readers and kind sponsors.

 14) For being the first to stay in Legoland Hotel and surviving an all-girls road trip.

 15) For making Angel's Dora party dream come true and seeing that priceless smile on her face.

 16) For knowing that happiness to her is what happiness is to me. To love and be loved.

17) For having two lovely daughters who like to hug, kiss, laugh and play with each other. Toy snatching aside. Yes, I may have no son but I'm pretty happy and comfortable about that.

18) Last but not least, for knowing that whenever life gets me down, I will always have these people by my side to hold me up. Whenever life goes well, they are there to share my laughter and joy. I must say it's quite a good feeling to know that you will never be alone in this world, for good or for bad.

Indeed, I am blessed and I am a happy mum. Thank you all for reading about my motherhood journey and sharing a big part of my life with me. For those who write in to tell me your stories too, thank you for opening your hearts to me, I appreciate it more than words can say. May 2014 be even a better year and may good health, love and happiness be with you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!
