Dear Ariel,
I can still remember the first day when I cradled you in my arms and rocked you to sleep. Time flies as it always does and you are now a bubbly, cheerful 9-month-old baby. In these two months, we saw you achieving many of your milestones, from cutting your first tooth, having fun on your first swing, doing your first high-five, waving your first goodbye, to even suffering a bad case of viral infection for the first time.
Do you know that you are such a sweet baby to be able to smile for your first studio photoshoot even though you fell sick that day? As much as my heart ached, I was so proud and thankful that you made it through with us as a family. When I saw your entire body covered in red spots, I wished I could have made things easier for you but it ended up that you were the one making things easier for me by still being your joyful self who never fail to light up my darkest moments.
When you laugh at the slightest things that I do, and you laugh again and again when I repeat them, those sweet chuckles just sound so heavenly. The way your face lights up when we pick jiejie from school every day, I know that you adore and love her so much. The way that you smile at strangers, wave to them or even touch their hands, it becomes kind of impossible for anyone not to fall in love with you, you know that? Or at least, Mummy says so. And when we went for karaoke, this being your first time, you couldn't understand a word we were singing and so you decided to take a nap in my arms while still allowing me to sing my lungs out. How did you do it, I will never know but I am just amazed by you time and again.
Thank you for being just you. I kind of think I really dreamed you into life.

Summer, I say it before and I say it again - you are REALLY such a hardworking mum! These videos are amazing! I take them, but don't ever edit :( I should!
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks babe.. My videos are kept really simple and follow a certain template.. haha.. =) Just want them as keepsake for my girls.. If I really am hardworking, I wanna draw and do up all those worksheets that you made for Poppy!
